Today, I ran all over downtown Columbus with three of my coworkers as part of the Columbus Challenge: Ultimate Urban Scavenger Race. We went to the Capitol, Statehouse, Santa Maria, Columbus Commons, the North Market and 6 other places taking pictures. We had to take a picture in front of a Fortune 500 company headquartered in downtown Columbus and act out the business they are in (see above - we are being electrocuted at the AEP building) and at the white pole at an old church with a red door making the sign that would make sense once we were there (see below). The only problem with this race is that downtown Columbus is virtually empty on evenings and weekends, so the people taking all of our pictures were other contestants. The winning team finished in 37 minutes - we finished in under 2 hours. This was definitely fun and I would do it again - but I enjoy being on a non-crazy-competitive team.
I went to a lot of places that I hadn't been to in a long time (or ever) with some fantastic ladies! Something fun to get us around the city on a beautiful summer Sunday...
