August: Entertainment Center

I have 3 drawers in my entertainment center. The "entertaining" (that's me attempting to be punny, as this resolution and every post that goes with it is SO BORING) contents are as follows:

Left Drawer - Cables
This drawer is full of cords and cables. Please keep in mind while you are reading or skipping this very boring list, that all electronics are currently plugged in and functioning as I typically use them without the use of these cables.

Cords I own that are not currently in use: 3 different length HDMI cables, 2 coax cables (1 VERY long, the other is technically 3 cords in of itself, since it still has a splitter attached), 2 Ethernet (1 normal length and one VERY long), 1 super long computer monitor cable, 1 AUX cable, 2  RCA cables and 1 that I have no idea what it is (paging Mr. Bleiweiss for help...). All I purged from this drawer was some trash (user pamphlets for cable box remotes I no longer have).

Center Drawer - DVDs
This one has DVDs and apparently 1 VHS, plus a few CDs. The VHS contains Oceans Thirteen and/or Click. Both are written on opposite side of the tape (I haven't seen either movie, nor have I owned a VHS player in the past 4 years.)

I found an Honors Cohort slideshow, a Meshuganotes CD and something that appears to be from Heather's time in City Year. And an unopened Joss Stone CD? I've never listened to Joss Stone (clearly - it's unopened). I'm fairly confident that the Pete Wentz DVD was a GWP from Nordstrom 10 years ago. I purged all but 3 of the items listed above/pictured below (I'll hold on to the Hanukkah CD through this year's holiday...).

Right Drawer - Games
This drawer was empty until I moved. I decided (oh so wisely) to put my games in here - seems like a good home for them, since they're used for entertainment.

During this exploration, I also realized that this is where I put my placemats, circle basket and coasters. Those DO NOT belong in there. Oops. I didn't purge anything from this drawer, but I did remove the items that didn't belong (don't worry, friends - I kept Girl Talk).
