October (but really December): Childhood Bedroom

It started in May with the closet. And ended in December with nearly 9 straight hours of work. The result is hours of quality time with my mom and a childhood bedroom filled with (mostly) the things.

A few items of note:
  1. The creepy slow music box that was ONLY the mechanical box playing a lullaby at an alarmingly slow rate - this is what is used to score horror movies
  2. The 7 pairs of Mudd and Paris Blues shorts from the late '90s that will hopefully find a new home with a current pre-teen
  3. My dance costumes from when I was 3-6 years old. These made the cut.
  4. A shoe box filled with Archie comics (most sent to me while at overnight camp)
  5. Mack Jams CDs (Cleveland kids know what I'm talking about)
  6. Every single note I took in both high school and college (in one of the large black garbage bags pictured below destined for the recycling bin)

My mom and I only strongly disagreed on 2 items:
  1. The purple Cleveland Indians shirt with the tags on from 1995
  2. The melted wax mold of my hand from a Bar Mitzvah in 1997
I should have taken more pictures, but we were moving fast and I didn't want to lose momentum. To preserve my 25 years of friendship with Lisa, I have chosen not to share any of the embarrassing high school pictures I sent her during this process. It is important to note that most things got donated, so the bags below aren't representative of the work we did.
