Week 30 - Struck by Lightning

Just in time to get me thinking about my 10 year reunion...

• What made me choose this movie?
• I read about it in a magazine when it was headed to the festivals. At some point, I added it to my Netflix cue and it was there when I logged in tonight. Fantastic cast doesn't hurt.
• Describe this movie in one word. JUST ONE.
• Impactful. (And makes you think about the impact you have every day.)
• Would I recommend it to a friend (or talk ad nauseum with my friends about it)?
• Recommend? Yes - if you read this, watch it. Streaming on Netflix, Amazon, etc.
• Talk ad nauseum? I could - I already sent Miss Mollie a message asking her to watch it. Cheryl & Anna - please watch it, as well.
• Did I look anyone or anything up from the movie on IMDB or Wikipedia?
• No need - I really enjoyed that the Stein Bar Mitzvah boy from Keeping Up with the Steins was in it (I didn't look up his name - huzzah!).
• If I was trapped on a desert island, which character from this movie would I want to be trapped with and why?
• Malerie. She's the only truly good one and she could chronicle our time on the island. (The fact that Malerie is played by Rebel Wilson should be reason enough.) Maybe Grandma, if she knit me a scarf blanket to keep me warm.
• Did this movie provoke any outward emotional reactions? Crying, laughing out loud, throwing crap across the room, etc./et al. (Warning - I cry A LOT.)
• I got emotional with Allison Janney in one scene and it didn't stop until the end. Damn, she's good at what she does.
• Would I stop to watch this movie at any point during a showing on TBS?
• Probably - I identify with Carson's sarcasm and wit.
• Would I buy it on sale at Target for $5 or less (or even splurge on it full price)?
• Potentially - but let's just hope it keeps streaming on Netflix so I don't have to make that decision.
