Week 34 - The World's End (and the rest of the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy)

I re-watched Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz on Thursday in anticipation of seeing The World's End Friday night. I'd be happy having a nice jaunty lunch with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
I learned the origin of the word robot. Educational AND entertaining.
I also want to redo senior crawl with my ladies (Jess, Heather, Lisa, Eileen & Tiffany) where no one quits after Out-R-Inn...
This movie experience was greatly enhanced by coinciding with my first trip to the AMC Dine-In theater at Easton.
  • What made me choose this movie?
    • Love Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. It is only natural. And Chrissy wanted to see it as part of her "vacation."
  • Describe this movie in one word. JUST ONE.
    • Determined.
  • Would I recommend it to a friend (or talk ad nauseum with my friends about it)?
    • Recommend? If you like the rest of the series, absolutely.
    • Talk ad nauseum? Not ad nauseum, but I could talk about it a little.
  • Did I look anyone or anything up from the movie on IMDB or Wikipedia?
    • After watching both Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz yesterday, I'm very familiar with everyone. Fun surprise - Pierce Brosnan!
  • If I was trapped on a desert island, which character from this movie would I want to be trapped with and why?
    • Andy! Best guy in the movie, so sweet and one hell of a friend. This time, Nick Frost's character actually had his act together!
  • Did this movie provoke any outward emotional reactions? Crying, laughing out loud, throwing crap across the room, etc./et al. (Warning - I cry A LOT.)
    • A lot of laughing. But not as much as the girl 2 seats down from Chrissy - my seat was shaking.
  • Would I stop to watch this movie at any point during a showing on TBS?
    • Definitely - but more likely Comedy Central. Or BBC America.
  • Would I buy it on sale at Target for $5 or less (or even splurge on it full price)?
    • No - maybe the whole series for $5...
