I want purple eyebrows like Caesar. But, not his teeth. They were BLINDING.
I want Effie's coffee filter dress (I can't find a picture, but she wears it on the train). And this one. Basically any dress except the butterfly dress - it just wouldn't work on me.
- What made me choose this movie?
- Read the books and saw the first one at midnight on premier night with my Jackyard ladies - it was only natural to continue! I'm sure this will continue to Mockingjay Part 1 in November 2014 and Part 2 in November 2015.
- Describe this movie in one word. JUST ONE.
- Intense.
- Would I recommend it to a friend (or talk ad nauseum with my friends about it)?
- Recommend? YES.
- Talk ad nauseum? Yes - my lovely book club that I went with (Anna & Phokeng - we missed you Mollie & Cheryl!) mentioned going to dinner just to talk about the movie.
- Did I look anyone or anything up from the movie on IMDB or Wikipedia?
- No need, since they announced every character over the past year. Lynn Cohen (Magda from SATC and Golda Meir in Munich was Mags!
- If I was trapped on a desert island, which character from this movie would I want to be trapped with and why?
- PEETA. Best ever. Even though I think Finnick would be better to have around - he'd catch us fish and use his trident to protect us (which really only makes me think of this).
- Did this movie provoke any outward emotional reactions? Crying, laughing out loud, throwing crap across the room, etc./et al. (Warning - I cry A LOT.)
- I jumped and screamed, even though I knew what was going to happen. And laughed. And cried.
- Would I stop to watch this movie at any point during a showing on TBS?
- Yes.
- Would I buy it on sale at Target for $5 or less (or even splurge on it full price)?
- Probably not.
