I've been wanting to try Lexi's since I saw them at an event years ago. I drive by the location several times a week, but they are only open during the week for breakfast and lunch, so I've never been able to go. On a beautiful Fall day when I happened to have taken vacation, I took the walk a few blocks for lunch. It is always an added bonus when you run into a friend unexpectedly (hi, Megan!). Being a very picky about my deli, I am always skeptical going in. I'd go again - there's lots of things on the menu I'd be up for trying!
Here's my verdict: the rye bread was nice and soft. Corned beef was good. Texture of the matzo balls was perfect, but the soup broth was too salty.
Recipe: Cheesy Garlic Butter Crescents
What happens when it is October 31 and you realize you haven't made a new recipe yet (and you know you have an insane workout class after work)? You go to your Pinterest board and find something easy: Cheesy Garlic Butter Crescents. I had almost all of the ingredients at home anyways - just had to pick up a couple of things at the grocery store next to my workout studio. There was no way these were going to be anything short of amazing.
Simple. Delicious. Definitely repeatable.
Little nagging task: Set Up Wireless Router
I've been using the same wireless router since mid-2007. Ordering a new router had been on my little nagging tasks list for a while (had been sitting in my Amazon cart since last October). Once I did that, I had to set it up. The router had been sitting in my condo since July - I couldn't think of a new network name (was my excuse for not setting it up). Slow streaming of an OSU football game gave me the push to finally set up the new one. And the past few days have been pure internet glory.
Habit: Keep in touch better
While I didn't put any rigor against this one, like I had hoped to, I do think I kept in touch with people better this month and will strive to continue this as a habit!
