After months of wanting to go, I finally got myself up early enough to go to Fox in the Snow before there was too crazy of a line. And I finally got my card for the Columbus Coffee Trail. It was a pretty productive Saturday morning trip. By the time I left, the line was out the door. I need to go back for one of the amazing looking cinnamon rolls soon...
One of the best egg sandwiches I've ever had.
Recipe: Crispy Buckeyes
I've been using cookouts with friends as one of my venues to try new recipes this year. This month, there was a cookout for the Ohio State vs. Tulsa game, so I figured this was a good time to try making buckeyes for the first time. I know my friends will be honest and non-judgmental with these attempts (case and point, these super ugly buckeyes. I spent most of the afternoon apologizing for how they looked, but everyone reassured me that they tasted good and didn't care how they looked). Inspired by the amazing peanut butter cups Lauren and I had at this cute little candy shop in Dublin, I decided to look for a buckeyes recipe that had Rice Krispies in them. I think they would have been easier to work with if there was more powdered sugar in the mix, but I like the creaminess of these. I may invest in a cookie scoop for next time and use my dipping fork instead of toothpicks. This is definitely a recipe to keep on hand.

Little nagging task: Amazon Prime and Try to Clean Toaster Oven Tray
2 small tasks equals one large enough to fulfill this month's requirement. I finally joined Amazon Prime and took another attempt at cleaning my toaster over tray, this time with Bar Keeper's Friend (the toaster oven tray doesn't have too many spots, but I'm so curious to find something that works). The second task needs to be strategically planned for a night before I get my nails done (priorities). Well, done and done! Hopefully I'll accomplish something with a little more impact in October.
Habit: Put shoes away
I'm not so successful at this one. But I'll keep trying. I basically have a shoe store by the door in from my garage, but I'm getting better at cleaning it up! In other news, the workout studio I joined opened this month - I've been good about going there, so maybe that's my unplanned habit for September?
