2017 Weeks 6-9 / February

Exciting thing:
Well, not as exciting as January's item, but I am happy and proud to share that I won the pool for the first quarter score at my aunt and uncle's Super Bowl party! I've never won one of these pools before. It was a nice way to kick off the month and end a wonderful family-filled weekend in Cleveland.

Little Nagging Task: Update LinkedIn & Finish Goodwill Valuation
I did two! I've been in my current role for 2 years and still didn't have a description in my LinkedIn profile. This has been on my to do list since the fall and I thought I'd have time to work on it when the office was quiet around the holidays. No such luck, so in February I put my foot down and did it. I also made a large donation to Goodwill in 2016. I knew all of the items donated and had the form, but had been putting of doing the valuation necessary for taxes. Since I had all of my other tax information, I figured I should finish the missing piece.

Lists (titles and highlights):
  • List the ways you love to have fun.
    •  I find my responses pretty basic and common. But if these things are fun, that makes sense, I guess?
  • List all the people who brighten your day.
    •  If you're reading this, you're likely on this list.
  • List your favorite quotes.
    • I'm at a point in my life where I only seem to quote TV shows. Nothing profound or life changing (in college, I quoted Sex and the City a lot. Wasn't profound then, but had more substance than my current quote state. Now, I mostly quote The Office or Friends. My favorite quote hands down is from The Office when Michael says "I'm not superstitious, but I am a little stitious.")
    • Additionally, most of my favorite quotes are memes. #millenial (I'm technically a millennial, but don't exhibit many of the typical behaviors. Love of memes is one of the few.)
    • I'm tempted to revisit my high school quote book for this one, but I think most of those quotes are from Empire Records. ("What's with today today?" - Lucas)
  • List the things you treasure most.
    • This one is tricky - it can easily become more material than sentimental. Which might be okay, because of how many sentimental lists there are. These are my lists and I'll do what I want.
    • I may be thinking about this too much.
