April 2018 - Girls' Weekend and Babysitting

One for me: Girls' Weekend
Weekends these days seem to filled with errands, laundry and general adulting. I am so grateful that I was able to take a weekend away with some of my nearest and dearest (and that they were able to get away, too!). 3 days of bonding time at Geneva-on-the-Lake, including a spa day and a wine tour is exactly what the doctor ordered and I can't wait until my best ladies and I can get together again (there was lots of talk of an annual trip!).
The first of many toasts!

One for you: Babysitting
I love kids, especially the kids of people who I love. When a friend was looking for a babysitter for her 10 month old (who is still the youngest baby I've ever met at only a few hours old!), I quickly volunteered. We had a great time - I sang and danced a lot, chased him around the first floor, walked up the stairs behind him several times and went on a nice walk. I was honored to be the first non-family member to watch him!
A small taste of the suburban mom-life
