Day 189

I have a math problem for my brother to give his students. You have 2 pictures that are 16" square with the hook at the very top and 2 pictures that are 18" square with the hook 1" down from the top. You want to hang them with the centers in a square and 5" between each picture and 1" in from each side of the hutch on the desk, which is 8" from the wall. Where do you place the nails in the wall to make this work? My dad and I are both intelligent and good at math, but by the end of a long Saturday, this one was too much for us (the pencil and paper on the desk next to the lamp has lots of drawings and numbers on it). We successfully get done and my dad says "it all needs to be moved 1 inch to the right, but I'm not doing it." I told him I'll live with it. Mind you - this is the third time I've hung the pictures like this and it is a different puzzle each time.

Also, G'wu has a new home, too, in the living room! The story of G'wu is a good story for another time, but I'm glad he's along for this journey in the new apartment and that Leslie has kept him safe all these years...
