"...in this world talent is universal and opportunity is not." -Nicholas D. Kristof
George Clooney is in it - bonus. Everybody loves bonus. My 20 year crush is unwavering.
  • What made me choose this movie?
    • Watched in in preparation of attending the Women's Fund of Central Ohio Keyholder event with Heather, Jess and Leslie next month.
  • Describe this movie in one word. JUST ONE.
    • Inspiring.
  • Would I recommend it to a friend (or talk ad nauseum with my friends about it)?
    • Recommend? Absolutely. Put faces and personal stories to issues I have heard about.
    • Talk ad nauseum? I could. We talked during the movie - it was unbelievable.
  • Did I look anyone or anything up from the movie on IMDB or Wikipedia?
    • No need.
  • If I was trapped on a desert island, which character from this movie would I want to be trapped with and why?
    • All of the women are incredibly strong and have amazing survival skills. Is it a cop out to say I can't choose? I can rule out a couple of people - not Meg Ryan and not the mother who is pulling her daughter out of school to go back to their village.
  • Did this movie provoke any outward emotional reactions? Crying, laughing out loud, throwing crap across the room, etc./et al. (Warning - I cry A LOT.)
    • I cried. A lot.
  • Would I stop to watch this movie at any point during a showing on TBS?
    • I'm not sure I could put myself through that again. But, possibly.
  • Would I buy it on sale at Target for $5 or less (or even splurge on it full price)?
    • To lend to other people, absolutely.
