Week 18.1 - Wreck-It Ralph

Detail, detail detail. I love attention to detail and Disney does it better than anyone.

Paperman is a special feature. I have loved this since my first viewing during the Oscars. A must watch, if you haven't seen already.
Mindy Kaling is completely believable as the mean girl ringleader. My favorite part is when she couldn't stop crying. (I can relate - who can stop crying on command?)

• What made me choose this movie?
• Everything about this movie made me want to watch it - it is like Toy Story, but with video games. While I'm not a big gamer, the idea of this film just made me smile from the first commercial I saw for it last year.
• Describe this movie in one word. JUST ONE.
• Heartwarming.
• Would I recommend it to a friend (or talk ad nauseum with my friends about it)?
• Recommend? LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie. Might be a good one to try out with the niece and nephew (the whole family would enjoy), if Scott and Janette approve.
• Talk ad nauseum? Like any Disney movie, there are a million funny lines and references, so plenty to talk about.
• Did I look anyone or anything up from the movie on IMDB or Wikipedia?
• I could tell who voiced several of the characters, but I definitely confirmed on IMDB.
• If I was trapped on a desert island, which character from this movie would I want to be trapped with and why?
• It is too hard to choose! I really don't like bugs, so my gut tells me I should say Calhoun. But, I would likely break things (including injuring myself), so maybe Felix?
• Did this movie provoke any outward emotional reactions? Crying, laughing out loud, throwing crap across the room, etc./et al. (Warning - I cry A LOT.)
• I laughed a lot, smiled the entire time, nodded at references that reminded me of my childhood and said "awwww" out loud at the end, to no one in particular.
• Would I stop to watch this movie at any point during a showing on TBS?
• More likely on the Disney Channel, but yes!
• Would I buy it on sale at Target for $5 or less (or even splurge on it full price)?
• You bet.
