This month's new restaurant came during one of the most fun activities/least adult parts of May - the "Becky With the Good Hair" Bar Crawl, which consisted of spending the day with some lovely ladies getting blowouts, bar hopping through the Short North and Arena District and having dinner at Lemongrass. We shared spring rolls and dumplings for appetizers, then most of us had sushi. Surprise surprise - tuna nigiri and smoked salmon & cream cheese roll for me! It was yummy and the experience was made even more memorable by having an giant group headed to prom sitting behind us.
Sushi for days...
Recipe: Heath Caramel Cream Cheese Apple Dip and Chicken Enchiladas
I made two relatively easy recipes this month - 2 easy = 1 regular = 1 completed resolution, right? After having a Heath Caramel Cream Cheese Apple Dip at a friend's birthday party, I immediately turned around 2 days later and made it for a cookout. I'd make it again, but definitely modify the recipe a bit (make my own caramel, substitute some Greek yogurt to make it a little healthier? So many options!)
I've been wanting to make chicken enchiladas for ages - what better excuse than to fulfill a resolution? This was also fueled by going to the grocery store very very hungry on Memorial Day. I basically followed the recipe on the back of the enchilada sauce. The only modifications I made were using chicken I made in the crockpot (cooking it with some of the sauce and adding chili powder. I didn't pick up any green chilies at the store - next time!) and adding cheese individually in the enchiladas. Naturally, I used more cheese than the recipe called for. Not the healthiest, but so delicious. I'll be eating enchiladas all week!

Little nagging task: Fill in Perpetual Calendar
It's not creepy at all randomly texting your friends who don't have their birthdays on Facebook just to make sure you have it right in your calendar. I've been wanting a perpetual calendar for a while, but never bought it for myself - then was gifted one in my friends' gift exchange in January. And it took me until May to fill it out. Better late than never! Guess I'll be sending a lot of cards next year (2017 resolution, perhaps?). Dad, I'm coming back to the AG store to stock up!
Habit: Go through mail
This year's resolution seems to be about adulting. And what is more adult than coming home from a long day of work, checking the mail and then going in to your home office to take care of that mail? Immediately paying bills, recycling/shredding, clipping coupons and filing papers. Adulting is boring to read about, my friends (but it feels good to accomplish things in a timely manner!).
