Day 66

No one told me that today was Bring Your Tiny Dog to Giant Eagle Day. I had a very productive 7-9pm today running several errands at Easton, dropping off items at the library and swinging by the grocery store for 2 items (but leaving with 10, naturally). I pulled through a space and was surprised when I came nearly face to face with the little guy pictured above in the car next to me. It felt wrong to take a picture of someone else's car (unless you have a vanity license plate that's just asking for it), but I couldn't resist. For those of you who know me, I'm not an pet enthusiast. I don't dislike animals, it makes me sad whenever anything bad happens to them and I'm glad they bring so much joy to people's lives. I just don't personally get a lot from them (if you've read Bossypants, my feelings are the same as Tina Fey's when it comes to pets. If you haven't read the book, I highly recommend listening to it on CD.) And it takes a lot for me to find an animal adorable. The little guy in the red car caught me off guard in a very cute way. I then made my way into the grocery store, bantered with the guy working at the checkout (I told him I only came in for 2 things. He looked at my purchases and asked me which two. He was amused when I couldn't remember which items were on my original list.) As I was walking out, I was caught off guard once again by some high pitch barking. When I stepped out of the store, I saw the little guys pictured below barking away. They are adorable - no arguing that one. So I took a picture of them, too.

Of course, I forgot something I needed at the grocery store. Looks like I'll be finding out later this week if every day is Bring Your Tiny Dog to Giant Eagle Day or if it was only today...
