Day 71

Today was Lauren's 30th birthday brunch at her parents' house with 14 of her closest friends. I can't remember the last time I walked in the front door of their house - it was so odd to be the only car in the driveway! All of the other guests parked in the street. But I'm not a guest - I'm family. The spread was UNBELIEVABLE, starting with mimosas. After that, it was similar to break fast - hot chocolate, bagels, egg cheese souffle, blintz souffle, fruit, chocolate bunt cake, sour cream coffee cake, etc. Basically, everything delicious for breakfast. After everyone left, I stayed to help clean up, watch Lauren open her presents, and spend time with the family. I left with 20 minutes to do some damage at Nordstrom Rack before picking up my grandma for dinner at my parents' house. The perfect end to a great weekend at home!

The flying tissue paper picture was Lauren's idea and I just loved it. Her goal is to be featured in my blog five times this year. One down, four to go...
