Look at all of these cousins! They had three cameras snapping pictures of them on the hammock, so I'm lucky I have almost three of them looking at me! It is so fun to see the next generation of the family spending time together. Both my mom and dad's sides of the family came together for a cookout tonight - it was such a treat to see everyone (my aunt Paula hosted 30 people!). In true family fashion, there were enough appetizers to make an entire meal, enough of the main course to keep me fed for weeks and an impressive ice cream sundae spread.
My mom's side of the family tries to get together twice a year - once in June and at Thanksgiving. There's usually a pretty good turnout. We playfully call our gathering in June "Thanksgiving in June." Thanksgiving in June is making me count down the days to Thanksgiving in November...
