Today was moving day. Today was also the day that Columbus had a huge storm and nearly the entire city lost power. And to answer the questions running through your minds, yes, my movers came EXACTLY as the storm started and no, I luckily did not lose power in either apartment. I barely ate all day and when Lisa called me at 8:30pm asking if I wanted to go to dinner, I realized I was famish and yelled YES! We decided to go to El Vaquero, but didn't even think about calling to see if they had power. Lisa picked me up and the drive to the restaurant was very dark and ominous. As we pulled off the highway, there were no lights on in any business EXCEPT El Vaq. The place was packed, but we were seated immediately and our food came quickly.
We were sitting in front of an outlet, where people without power were plugging in their cell phones and resting them in the potted plant. Every outlet in the restaurant had someone's cell phone plugged in. I guess the generator got a lot of use tonight...
