I want to be friends with almost every character in this movie. Jesse, Zibby, Nat - if you're real, call me.
Zac Efron is Josh Radnor's spirit animal.
Zibby is the most confident 19 year old I've ever seen in a movie or real life.
Favorite quotes:
Peter: "No body feels like an adult. It's the world's dirty secret."
Jesse: "Thanks for being my friend."
Nat: "Easiest thing in the world."
- What made me choose this movie?
- Josh Radnor. I like his work (How I Met Your Mother, happythankyoumoreplease and those couple of scenes he was in during Not Another Teen Movie - just kidding on that last one) and I feel like I could know him (Jewish and from Ohio, like most people I know).
- Describe this movie in one word. JUST ONE.
- Wonderful. (I have far too many words I want to use to describe this movie, so I went generic.)
- Would I recommend it to a friend (or talk ad nauseum with my friends about it)?
- Recommend - Definitely. Could very quickly become one of my favorite movies.
- Talk ad nauseum? Yes - some please see this stat so we can make this happen! I think Leslie would appreciate all of the liberal arts college jokes.
- Did I look anyone or anything up from the movie on IMDB or Wikipedia?
- I definitely looked up to confirm which Ohio campus this was shot on. My guess was Kenyon, since Josh Radnor went there. Good guess, because Wikipedia told me I was right!
- If I was trapped on a desert island, which character from this movie would I want to be trapped with and why?
- Jesse, hands down. We would have tons to talk about, he's attractive and he'd definitely have a book with him that I could read. But, Nat is the best character.
- Did this movie provoke any outward emotional reactions? Crying, laughing out loud, throwing crap across the room, etc./et al. (Warning - I cry A LOT.)
- In the second scene, when Jesse is wearing this Homage OHIO t-shirt, I yelled "OHIO!" at the TV. I also yelled "Zac Efron" when he showed up (is hot, nice hair, great abs! Right, Brett, Jess and Leslie?). And I laughed - Lisa would definitely have laughed louder than me.
- Would I stop to watch this movie at any point during a showing on TBS?
- Definitely. And I think most people I know would like this movie.
- Would I buy it on sale at Target for $5 or less (or even splurge on it full price)?
- Maybe for $5 - I would lend it to people.
