They played mancala in one scene. I spent a lot of my childhood playing that game.
Jude Law was supposed to be from Cleveland, but sounded British half of the time. Work on that American accent, bud.
- What made me choose this movie?
- Great cast. I didn't realize until I started that this is a David O.Russell movie.
- Describe this movie in one word. JUST ONE.
- Odd.
- Would I recommend it to a friend (or talk ad nauseum with my friends about it)?
- Recommend? No. Interesting concept, but not well executed.
- Talk ad nauseum? No, but I think someone needs to explain it to me...
- Did I look anyone or anything up from the movie on IMDB or Wikipedia?
- No.
- If I was trapped on a desert island, which character from this movie would I want to be trapped with and why?
- Can I say no one? Everyone in this movie is so ridiculous, I don't think I'd like spending any time with any of them. I'll go with Marty. He seemed the most well-adjusted of the bunch.
- Did this movie provoke any outward emotional reactions? Crying, laughing out loud, throwing crap across the room, etc./et al. (Warning - I cry A LOT.)
- I think I looked confused a lot of the time. And wide-eyed at a certain vision of Jude Law breast feeding Jason Schwartzman (yes, you read that correctly).
- Would I stop to watch this movie at any point during a showing on TBS?
- No.
- Would I buy it on sale at Target for $5 or less (or even splurge on it full price)?
- No.
