It used to be illegal for men to brew beer - only women were allowed.
- What made me choose this movie?
- Leslie and Sarah were going to House Beer to watch the movie. Leslie kindly invited me and it was great - I had never been to House Beer, but will definitely be returning!
- Describe this movie in one word. JUST ONE.
- Hoppy.
- Would I recommend it to a friend (or talk ad nauseum with my friends about it)?
- Recommend - if you are a craft beer aficionado, yes. If you are a girl who likes beer, double yes. Not the best documentary I have ever seen, but definitely interesting.
- Talk ad nauseum? No, but Leslie and I did debrief on the walk home.
- Did I look anyone or anything up from the movie on IMDB or Wikipedia?
- No - I unsuccessfully attempted to look up people's names.
- If I was trapped on a desert island, which character from this movie would I want to be trapped with and why?
- The one who started the Pink Boots Society and took a 13,000 mile trip across country to different breweries. Her stories would keep us entertained for years.
- Did this movie provoke any outward emotional reactions? Crying, laughing out loud, throwing crap across the room, etc./et al. (Warning - I cry A LOT.)
- I laughed a little bit and we talked throughout the movie.
- Would I stop to watch this movie at any point during a showing on TBS?
- I don't think this is a situation that would happen...but, no.
- Would I buy it on sale at Target for $5 or less (or even splurge on it full price)?
- Again, I don't think this is a situation that would happen, but (again), no.
