Excitement of Tuesday (or nearly any day, for that matter) = lunch. As I mentioned yesterday, it is Associate Appreciation Week at work. Yesterday, we received a $5 Starbucks gift card. Today, we were offered free lunch. The highlight of the lunch for me (none of you will be shocked) was the gourmet grilled cheese station - please see the menu above and a snapshot of the station below. And let me tell you, my white cheddar and gruyere with apples on a baguette was everything I could have hoped for and more. With a side of chicken tortilla soup (one of three soup options) and a chocolate cheesecake pop for dessert (I don't love dessert and I don't particularly like cheesecake, but these were little bites of heaven on a stick), I'd say I felt very appreciated today. I skipped the salad bar (insert shock here), but I hear it was "gourmet," as well. Tomorrow is massages and manicures. After the crazy busy couple of weeks I've had at work, I could definitely use a little massage.
I went to lunch straight after a meeting and wasn't prepared to take pictures for today's post. I didn't have my iPhone with me, but the work Blackberry camera did a pretty good job under pressure...
