Day 141

Sunday in Shanghai was a juxtaposition between the old and new. Jess, Holly and I started our day by heading to Yuyuan Garden. Not only is it a beautiful garden from the 16th century, but there are lots of shops in front. I will definitely be going back for souvenir shopping. It is also the site of my first child-in-split-pants-going-to-the-bathroom-in-public sighting. We spent a couple of hours here walking around, until everything started to look the same. After, we headed to Pudong for lunch at Element Fresh (I wish we had this in the states!) and massages. The massage was amazing, she really beat me up and I needed it after all of the travel! We spent the rest of the day in Pudong and waited for nightfall, when Jess and I headed to a bar on the 91st floor of a hotel to take in the skyline at night (pictured below). At the bar, we met some people in town from Ohio for work.

Speaking of work, Jess has to go to work tomorrow, which means I'll be exploring Shanghai by myself for a few hours. Wish me luck...
